They are mad!

I know this has nothing to do with London Taxi’s, but it’s just too funny not to share.

A London Cabbie: In A Year of A London Cabbie Everyone Has A Story

This caught my eye while surfing the internet.

Book Description
A charming true story of a year in the life of a London cabbie told through the snippets of the lives of those who travel with him.

Synopsis
It’s a spring morning in Tavistock Square. All around lives large and small are starting their day. Cabbie 42629 sits in his taxi sipping the first cup of tea of the day. He looks at his watch. It is 9.40, time to make for Euston Station and his first pick-up…So begins a charming true story of a year in the life of a London cabbie told through the conversations he has with the passengers travelling in the back of his cab. All human life is here: the loved and lonely, the lucky and unlucky, the happy, the sad, the ordinary folk who make up the bustling life of a big city. All have tales to tell captured here in their own words and through the remarkable photographs the author has taken of them. This gem of a book captures the essence of London and life, leaving the reader uplifted and with a renewed hope in his fellow man. This is the most original and insightful book you’ll read all year.

What do you think, is this an idea that will take off, who knows? Gave me a giggle though.

LTFUC – The London Taxi Drivers’ Fund for Underprivileged Children

Please visit the LTFUC Website and help support the charity.
Founded in 1928, the charity is known for its outings to the seaside when convoys of London taxis decked in balloons and banners take excited ‘special needs’ children and their helpers for a fun day out.

Although The London Taxi Drivers’ Fund for Underprivileged Children are renowned for their outings, there is a lot more that the charity undertakes during the year.
