Hi, I’m trying to track a taxi driver down, as I owe him some money… I was in his cab on the 25th May and he took be to St Pancras International and I was late for my train. You were wearing sunglasses and so way I. You were listening to Magic FM you said how you loved your daughter and she was very cool!! You said I looked like your sister! A man convicted of the murder of a taxi driver who was stabbed in the head in a country lane has been jailed for life.
Andrew Bayliss, from Birmingham, denied killing Mohammed Arshad, 36, in Wast Hills Lane, Kings Norton, near the Worcestershire border, in July 2009.
He said he had been in the cab but did not kill Mr Arshad, the court heard.
The 29-year-old, who had debts of about £20,000, hit on a plan to relieve the financial pressure by robbing a taxi driver, Judge Alistair McCreath said.
